Celeste Maria Jozef Dufferman was born in 1976. Both her parents were trying to escape the working class of the Netherlands, were she grew up. Duffermann was working in her fathers hardware store since the age of fifteen. It became clear that she was not cut out for the world of her ancestors. After attending several high rated art academies in the Netherlands, Duffermann picked up her life and moved to the United States of America. This Brooklyn based artist is now best known for her controversial street works.
